Dr. Mark Re is Senior Vice President of Recording Media Operations, Fremont, California. Previously, Dr. Re was Senior Vice President of Research at the Seagate Research Center, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Prior to joining Seagate in 2003, he served as Senior Vice President of Research and Development at Read-Rite Corporation in Fremont, California. Earlier career highlights include management positions at IBM Corporation in San Jose, California and Yorktown Heights, New York where his primary focus was magnetic recording heads. During his tenure there, he was names an IBM Distinguished Fellow in 1997.
