Hong Zhu works on head media reliability for Hitachi Global Storage Technologies in Media group. He has a Ph.D. in mechanical engineering from Computer Mechanics Laboratory (CML) of University of California at Berkeley. He worked on ultra low Fly Height ABS design and optimization for INSIC 1 Tbit/in² project during graduate years. He is now a tribology engineer working on head degradation and head media reliability issues.
