Barry Rudolph, Vice President, Disk, SAN and NAS Storage Systems, IBM
Barry Rudolph is currently Vice President for IBM's Disk, SAN and Nas Storage Systems. In this role he is responsible for all aspects of the Disk, SAN, and NAS storage business within IBM, including profit and loss, product portfolio investments, go to market strategy and execution and customer support. Prior to this he was named vice president, Tape Storage systems in January 2003. In that position he had responsbility for all aspects of the tape business.
Barry joined IBM in 1978 as an Associate Test Engineer in San Jose, Ca. and has held positions in manufacturing engineering, product development, test and assurance, program management, field support, and direct manufacturing. His past responsibilities have included current product large systems DASD programs including RAMAC, Remote Copy Services, as well as the 338X, 339X and 3990. In addition Barry managed field and customer support for all DISK products including S/390 and Open Systems and customer support for all storage software products including DFSMS, VSAM, and ADSM.
Barry holds several degrees, including a bachelor of science degree in engineering and a masters of science in electrical engineering from San Diego State University, and a masters of business administration from Santa Clara University.
